The company combines deep engineering expertise with market-oriented research and development to deliver advanced products and solutions to global customers

Design, develop, and evaluate rapid prototypes, proof-of-concepts, and demonstrators for defence-related use cases
Assess technical feasibility, system-level impact, and performance of AI solutions in realistic operational scenarios
Use simulation environments and synthetic data to accelerate R&D in data-constrained settings
Support the maturation of AI prototypes to higher Technology Readiness Levels (TRLs) and their integration into existing systems
Monitor global AI research trends and emerging technologies
Conduct TRL and MRL assessments and recommend strategic investment priorities
Lead cross-functional projects and collaborate closely with IT, R&D, engineering, business units, and programme teams
Coordinate with platform architects, system engineers, and mission experts to support integration activities

PhD or comparable advanced degree in AI/ML, computer science, systems engineering, or a related field
Preferably experience in defence or other high-assurance industries, including participation in defence research programmes or innovation labs
Approximately 10 years of professional experience in AI/ML, applied research, or emerging technology R&D
Strong hands-on expertise in machine learning and deep learning using frameworks such as PyTorch and/or TensorFlow
Solid understanding of embedded AI and edge AI, model optimisation, and autonomous systems
Fluent German and English
